The Ascent Rooftop Tent (RT) is engineered for overlanders who want a durable, all-season shelter without sacrificing comfort or simplicity. Designed around a rugged aluminum hard-shell platform and premium weather-resistant materials, the Ascent transforms your vehicle into a reliable basecamp wherever the trail ends.
The tent body is constructed from a heavy-duty 305 GSM fabric blend (35% cotton / 65% polyester) with a bonded waterproof coating for long-term weather resistance. A black powder-coated aluminum frame with honeycomb aluminum panels provides exceptional strength while keeping overall weight manageable for mid-size and full-size vehicles.
Inside, the Ascent offers a spacious sleeping area measuring 78.7 in x 47.2 in, comfortably sleeping two adults. A 2-inch high-density foam mattress with a removable, washable cover is included for a supportive night’s rest. Four mesh windows and a large entry door provide excellent airflow and panoramic views while helping reduce condensation in varying climates.
Thoughtful interior features include integrated USB-powered LED lighting, overhead storage pockets, and a layout that allows the tent to be closed with bedding inside for faster pack-up at camp. An optional zip-in quilted thermal liner is available for cold-weather use, making the Ascent adaptable across seasons.
The tent folds down to a compact footprint of 90.6 in x 55.1 in x 8.7 in and weighs approximately 175 lbs. Access is provided via a 7.2-ft (86.6-in) telescoping aluminum ladder, included as standard equipment. Lockable latches and accessory-ready mounting tracks round out a design built for security, convenience, and long-term use.
